I had the honor of photographing a 60th surprise birthday party and as part of the celebration took lots of family group pictures.  One favorite in particular was four generations of women: mom, new baby, grand mother and great grand mother. This image reminded me of why photography is so important to families. Long after this new baby grows up (perhaps when she is a new mother herself) this image will be a treasured family heirloom.  Imagine if you were the baby in this image.
