It’s my second full day in Paris and what a day it was. A Parisian Haute Couture photo shoot took most of the day and here’s a sneak peak at some of the images I made. These were taken in a variety of places near the river Seine in the Isle de Cite area. More images will follow once I am home in Calgary.

In April I will be in the City of Lights, Paris, and have started organizing a photo shoot along with the lovely Nikki McLeod. Below are some of my inspirations for the shoot. The hair, make-up, styling, etc. all illustrate what I have in my head that I want to translate into photographs. Nikki and I cannot wait to meet in Paris and I’m counting down the days.
I will be sure to post my images once I am back in North America!

A week after my birthday in January, I was able to attend the StyleLab workshop in Orange County, CA, hosted by Chenin Boutwell and The Wedding Chicks. Despite the rain and tornado warnings for the area, we learned a ton, networked and have a ton of fun. Thank you to Chenin & Doug Boutwell of Boutwell Studios, and Amy & Jocey of The Wedding Chicks. Your enthusiasm was contagious and I’m thankful for everything I’ve learned from you.
Girls…. if you ever have the opportunity to wear one of Joan Shum’s dresses you are very fortunate indeed. The dress she provided was stunning and it made me want to start planning a vow renewal with my husband so I could wear it.
Here are some of my favorite images of the day…

Manolo Blahnik makes my favorite wedding shoes. These jeweled d’Orsay shoes (the Sedaraby) feature a jeweled buckle and come in white satin, silver napa leather, or gold napa leather ~ completely fabulous with any wedding dress. With a 3 1/2 inch heel, these shoes are the perfect height for both walking down the aisle and dancing the night away. The peep toe allows your wedding pedicure to show through as well.
With more neutral wedding shoes being featured for 2010, the Manolo Sedaraby is a shoe to consider for your wedding.

Anah and Justin were married at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Cochrane, Alberta and their reception was held at the Cochrane Historic RancheHouse. The day was a perfect blend of warm temperatures, sun and breeze that created wonderful opportunities to make images in the park below the RancheHouse. Both Anah and Justin looked amazing along with their wedding party and the joy among the group was contagious. Here are just a few of my favorite images from their spectacular day.

As this is my first blog post I have many people to thank. First and foremost, Ellen Petty of Identity Kitchen (www.identitykitchen.com) for my logo design, blog design, and general cheerleading for my brand. Without Ellen, this blog and my new website (www.triciabphoto.com) would never exist. Along with Ellen’s dynamic design, Marty Thornley was the wizard on the other side of the screen who put together my blog. They say patience is a virtue so that makes Marty an extremely virtuous fellow indeed. Marty deserves a huge round of applause for all his support despite my inability to really ‘get’ the technical stuff. A BIG thank you for all the excellent work you both did in preparing me for blogging.
Additionally, I want to thank Bambi Cantrell (www.cantrellportrait.com), Cliff Mautner (www.cmphotography.com), David A. Williams (www.davidwilliams-heartworks.com), Chuck Eaton (www.chuckeaton.net), Neil van Niekerk (www.oneperfectmoment.com), and Andras Schram (www.andrasschram.com) for their constant inspiration, kind words, and priceless information. Without these people, I would not have had the courage to do what I’m doing. Each of them has inspired me differently, yet all of them have equally strengthened my resolve to grow and learn. Thank you from the heart <3
